6 months old... Happy half birthday to me!

Date: 12th - 18th October
Place: Still here in Windermere

Apologies for lateness of blog, but had an awesome weekend, only had time to put it up. I have been writing some of this from my sunbed! Here I am!

So we started the day last Sunday with chilling. IKEA I hear mummy say, uh oh, this does not feel right. What is this strange sounding place, oh maybe its somewhere exciting. I start to voice my opinion today. I've found this sound I can make, so I think mummy and daddy can understand me.

So we went to IKEA, came back with a something I can sit in, which was great. We also went somewhere where they gave me a bowl full of something they called banana, but I call mushie bites! I was so excited I tried some, but accidentally threw the mushy bites on the floor. Thought it was a game but I never got them back again. There was a loud noise when I did it and I don't think the waiter and waitress looked very pleased about it. I later found out this was called the Cheesecake Factory, after mummy kept going on about it. I think the parents enjoyed themselves, there was a lot of photo taking of themselves with food, so I think it is a big event that you have to do when you get older.

Here;s some of the pictures which were taken, including my banana that didn't last long, oops!

We later got home and I got to go in my chair. Mummy brought out some mushy green stuff. I think this was pear, it was yummy! They gave me some then put it away, hadn't they realised I hadn't finished. So I voiced my opinion until they got the message. I wonder what I will get tomorrow. Better not be something yucky!

The rest of the week consisted of lots of swimming, walking and food shopping for me. When we go shopping people can't get enough of me. They are always peering at me, some talk in a funny language, which not even mum and dad understand, we think its Spanish.

Also on one of our walks we came across a couple of cranes they were huge, twice my size at least. Got in our path, so we waited until they had passed. The wildlife is so cool out here.

I started eating sweet potato and mummy kept giving me random things to suck on, one was a green flowery looking thing, which I'm not sure I liked. Later to be told it was broccoli. I think my face said it all, but she still kept trying to give this to me through the week, when will the woman get the message.

First pictures of me and sweet potato, yay I've joined the taking pics of your food gang!

By the time we got to Friday, we saw that funny man Shad again. He took us to go and get our social security numbers, well not me, but I have to tag along. This was a quick and easy process, we just need to wait for them to come through the post. Later that day all the air freight arrived. OMG I couldn't believe my eyes. It was all for me!! My toys had arrived and the rest of my buggy. I think mum and dad were a little disappointed that they didn't put more things for them in it, oh well.

Look at me amongst my toys, sooooo happy!!

Saturday18th October was a little eventful. After several Skype sessions, we went to look at our first house to see if we liked it. We turned up and the area was amazing, it had a park, so that was all I needed. Daddy was looking at the lake, I know what was going through his mind, FISHING!! Mummy was being more practical, and said the house wasn't big enough for our stuff. Oh well. We'll keep looking.

In the afternoon, we met up with Uncle Pip and a new friend of daddy's, called Ed. We entered into this building having a laugh and a giggle and then I couldn't believe my eyes. There were guns and ammo everywhere. What were we doing, was Pip really a nice man or did he really hate daddy and mummy so much to shoot them. It turns out it was all fine and we were there just for fun!

Mummy and I waited outside whilst Daddy ( with his girly pink ear defenders) and his new friend Ed were taken by Uncle Pip through a big green door. I decided that I would start to blow raspberries at everyone who went in, it was so funny.

The next thing I hear is several bangs. Oh no what was happening in there. I tried to see through the window, on what was going on but it wasn't very clear.

Here's Daddy and Ed getting the low down on the safety of shooting. Look at the number of bullet shells on the floor.

Thankfully daddy came out all smiles. It was mummy's turn. She looked nervous. Again I heard several bangs and she came out smiling holding a large bit pf paper with a man with holes in it.

Here is some insight on what went on in there. Doesn't my daddy look beautiful in pink!!

We then went into the archery room. This is were daddy hurt his shoulder. As the bow was too hard to pull back, but he did manage a couple of good shots. Mummy tried but failed to pull it back at all. I think they both need to go to the gym, to build up those muscles. During this time I met a lovely lady. she was so in to me, my flirting was working.

We had finally finished but still had to take the obligatory photo of standing next to the shooting sign, with me wearing ear defenders. This can't be good for my street cred, but I went along with it.

We then went for a lovely drink, with free food, although all I got was a carrot. I'm sure there is something better out there for me, but I seem to be not getting it.

Finally a picture of my family. These are very rare occurrences, all 3 of us together, so I thought I'd publish this on here for all to see.

Next week, probably more of the same during the week. I am sure there will be some highlights to tell. Happy reading.

Are we on holiday???

Date: Rest of 5th - 12th October
Venue: Windermere, Fl

Hello back again, made it another week! So back to Sunday. Today we went and explored our local community. I'm sure this was an attempt to get me to sleep.

Well we started off making our way to the swimming pool! yeah!! Mummy disappeared off to the gym, something to do with me making her look bigger or something. Anyway I had boys time with the dude of dads! We decided to chill by the pool, as apparently the water was too cold! I would've gone in, but daddy was being a wimp. I'm slowly thinking of taking away the title of dude!!

The rest of the morning and early afternoon. I just chilled on the sun lounger having a snooze, with my favourite beaker.

Hey!! I've just found this photo, who thinks its funny to take pictures of me whilst I am sleeping!!

Later in the afternoon we decided to go for a walk round one of the lakes next to our apartment. Well you wold never believe it we saw something called an alligator. Apparently they can hurt you if you get too near, but it looked harmless from a distance.

Daddy then did his disappearance trick and wondered off with his camera towards a bigger lake. I believe a sign said something about fishing and he was off like a shot!

I got bored waiting for him, so I decided it was a good enough opportunity to fall asleep.

Monday was a day with mummy, whilst daddy went off to work at that big wheel place.

Don't know what he does all day, its not even built yet! We had a chilled day, went to the playground and had a go on a swing. Then walked round the fitness trail with mummy, stopping at every fitness section so mummy can make a fool of herself. I couldn't believe I was sitting there watching her trying to jump as high as she could, in flip flops no less (sigh) !! Came home and chilled some more!

Tuesday was bank day! Met this very interesting man called Shad who will be helping us to relocate to the area. He was talking at me in a funny, fast, high pitched voice very difficult to always understand what he was saying. So I just stared at him and pretended to listen. This was so boring. How many questions do they have to ask just to get a card which you put in a machine that spits money out or as I saw gobbles money up! Not even the dinosaur game was keeping me entertained for so long! We eventually got out of this boring place and the next thing I heard was Shad saying "I will take you back now but before hand I will show you where your nearest shopping complex will be! This was my cue to fall asleep! Not shopping again!!

Well what a night! I was sure I was missing out on so much through the night, so I kept waking every 2 hours just to check! Mummy was not impressed come the morning. So I lightened her mood with a few giggles and smiles! Yes I have a way with the ladies, always best to start young I say!!

Woohoo, what I thought would be just a day of mummy, turned out to be a nice lunch with Greenwood. We went to Toojays, where mummy tried feeding me a bit of avocado and satsuma. I was having none of it, what is this healthy food? surely I should be eating big burgers and chips out here!

Greenwood and I posing in front of Toojays. Yep that sign does make us look small. I blame the photographer.

We also met daddy there (told you he doesn't do any work!) Whilst Daddy whisked Greenwood away for a tour around the big wheel (or not so wheel like at the mo!) mummy and I went for a Pedicure. Now this was an experience. A Chinese lady kept talking to me whilst scrubbing away at mummy's feet and I just smiled politely. I then watched while she started what looked like devouring my mummy's toes. I was surprised there were any toe nails left. she kept going back and forth between each foot. I was wondering when she was going to do mine. I sat there with mummy waiting eagerly.

Alas, it was not meant to be. Maybe next time.

Our last trip saw us buy a massive tub of strawberry and vanilla ice cream. So many flavours to choose from but we played it safe. Maybe blueberry cheesecake next time or even a chocolate peanut butter one! Looking forward to trying that one day, as I'll doubt I'll see any of this tub.

The rest of the week saw me travelling around the Orlando area looking at houses, I won't bore you with this detail, as it wasn't much fun. Safe to say mummy and daddy didn't see anywhere just yet. Although we did go to one house and saw many gecko's or is it a lizard? I keep trying to catch one to see what they taste like, but yet have not succeeded.

We also visited the local park a few times. Now this is more like it, trying out the swings and slides these looked fun, until I went down the slide with daddy. I think he had more fun than I did.

Next week will be the trials and tribulations of eating stodgy stuff, that humans think are appetising, we shall see whether I agree. For now please see my picture for my portfolio just in case Daddy doesn't succeed at the eye, someone will have to bring the money in.

Much love to all my all fans

We've Arrived!!

Date: 2nd - 5th October 2014
Venue: Windermere, Florida

Wow what a journey. This aeroplane malarkey was so easy. All those people who say they can't sleep on a plane, don't know what all the fuss is about! Several stints of 2 hour sleeps followed by watching Peppa Pig (mum not impressed with me liking this!!) kept me entertained for the whole journey. The food was amazing and brilliantly served, I felt like I was in first class (thanks to mummy).

When we finally landed, we got into a queue just for a man to take pictures of mummy and daddy and ask them questions on why we were here. Couldn't believe how long this took, eventually we got through and started chasing our luggage. To eventually be greeted by this strange man chatting up older ladies, I believe it was Uncle Pip!

Finally on the road, albeit a bit different from home. I am a bit worried that people do not know how to drive out here, for some reason they are on the wrong side of the road. Mummy and Daddy assure me that this is correct, I will judge for myself after a few days.

We get to our new home, thanks to Pip. I don't think we are here for long. It looks really lovely from what I can tell in the dark. However mummy puts me straight to bed, so didn't see much else that day.

The next day I woke up in this strange place. Soon realised that everything was ok, as mummy and daddy were here. The plan for this day was daddy to get a car. After daddy eventually worked out how to get out of the airport car park we went to see daddy's new wheel. We also met one of the smallest men I know (apart from myself) Dave Greenwood for lunch in the Yard House. This day ended with me going to bed at 5pm (I was tired and I think I am suffering from what my mummy thinks is called a cold.)

Not liking this cold kept me up every 2 hours, I don't think mummy likes it either. Today we go on a tour around the community. Can't seem to work out how to get into the pool and gym (turns out later that we were trying to access the wrong pool and gym, I do wonder about my parents sometimes!!). Mummy and Daddy decided to find Florida Mall and Premium outlet Stores. These car journeys are painful, every time I get myself all upset. Mummy and Daddy can't work out why and I can't tell them. They keep asking me whether my teeth hurt, not really sure what they are going on about.

We find Toys R Us! I am so pleased at least they have found somewhere to get my toys from. Mummy also insists that we go into one of her favourite shops, M&M world and forces me to have a picture with the NASCAR in there. Don't know what all the fuss is about.

Due to the sun getting hotter and hotter we decided to make our way back to the apartment for chill time! I've made some new friends at the apartment. although every time I see them they keep scuttling away from me, there are hundreds of them, but I think they are harmless. I believe Daddy calls them Gecko's!!!

One final note, when are we going swimming? Something to do with this cold I have which is preventing us from going, oh well maybe today!!!

Venue: Goodchild Residence

So I've decided to write a baby blog on my adventures of living in Orlando, Florida, much more interesting than mummy and daddy writing a blog!! I'm currently writing this from the UK but will keep you all updated on what I am doing.

I've spent the last few days watching mummy and daddy rushing all over the place. Something's going on but what is it? Lots of people keep wanting to cuddle me, being passed around to all these different faces, which I want to poke and jab! Don't they understand all I want is to be fed, bum to be cleaned and to sleep. I tried to get away from all these mad people by learning to roll, but that didn't get me very far. So I'm stuck with all these silly people who seem to cry every time they say goodbye.

So apparently I'm going on something called an aeroplane, who knows what that is. I have a strange feeling I may not like it, but I will let you know how I coped! Mummy keeps saying that I must behave myself, but I always do!!
Its now time for my bed, woohoo bath time!! See you on the other side of the pond!

Signing out for the last time in the UK, HG!
