Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Date: 2nd -8th November 2014
Venue: Windermere

"Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to Daddy, Happy birthday to you" Well this was a new song I learnt today. Very simple song I wonder how long it took for someone to come up with that!! Well yes you guessed it, it was Daddy's 37th birthday today. I woke up and mummy gave daddy these colourful packages, which looked interesting. Apparently one was from me, but we all know that mummy really chose it, who are we kidding!! The best bit was that I got to play with all the colourful paper, I wondered what it taste like, not that nice, but soft in the mouth.

We had a surprise for daddy in the afternoon. We got him to drive to a destination of our choosing, with a little help from a friend. We turned up at the Orlando Grand Prix. The next surprise was that Mummy had gone and invited some of daddy's friends from work. Not sure if he was surprised or not. The gist of this event, so I could tell, was that Daddy, Mummy and Friends were about to go and drive round and round a small track in small cars to see who could go round the fastest. Again unfortunately I was only watching these cars go round and round, but I was being entertained by a lovely lady Jessica and her family. Maybe next time I can have a go. I suppose I better get practicing with my hand eye coordination.

We then presented Daddy with a birthday cake and another rendition of that new song I learnt, before we found out where everyone placed. There was a small medal ceremony, but neither Daddy or Mummy were in the top 3. Mummy just missed out being in 4th and Daddy followed behind in 5th. I know who I would enjoy being driven by!!!

All the Gang (loving my cuddles with Heather).

We then went off to get some good old fashion British food, in a place called The Pub (original!). I met another Henry, Henry VIII. I couldn't believe that there were more Henry's than just me, but I am the better looking and smarter one out of them all. I couldn't leave without having my picture taken with him. He looks well chuffed having his picture taken with me, don't you think!?!

The rest of the week consisted of playing and eating new foods. Mummy is starting to mix up the food now. Much better than the plain old one veg stuff I was getting. However I am still on porridge for breakfast, so this better change soon.

Towards the end of the week we found out that our application for that house I liked was accepted. We will be moving to Winter Garden on 26th November, and none of us can wait. I'm excited as there is a pool, Mummy is excited as there is a Tennis Court and Daddy (plus daddy's work mate Ed) is excited that there is a football pitch. Perfect!

Sneak peak of the outside of our house, including our new car in the drive. In a couple of weeks I'll be able to show the inside.

Saturday we checked out where we are going to live and visted the local Winter Garden Village, where there was a farmers market and some guy playing an instrument with some strings, I think called a guitar. Mummy and Daddy had their first snow cone; we saw some very huge pumpkins and I had a look at a very old fire engine. It was a lovely morning and so much to see.

All week had been Brit Week in Orlando for British businesses, in which daddy had attended a couple of the events. The last event of the week on Saturday eve, we all went to.This was Bonfire Night in  Kissimmee. This event is just crazy and I can't believe we do this every year back home.

Where am I?? I promise I was there too!

There was a massive bonfire with some sort of man on top, which burnt bright orange colour. I couldn't believe my eyes and how warm it was. We started off quite close, but slowly edged backwards, as the grass and the safety fencing started to catch fire. I wasn't worried, as I was wrapped up nice and warm in my buggy. It was especially nice in there when it started to rain.

We met some new people that night, hopefully some more friends for us and I had a nice cuddle by a nice lady called Janelle, before I fell asleep. Apparently there was some pretty light up patterns in the sky called fireworks, but I was none the wiser as I was asleep with these funny big red ear things on, drowning out the noise.

That evening I believe Daddy met up with an old friend Myles and his family at the Bonfire Night. Again I was asleep at that point, so missed out on a lot of what went on this evening.

This week I started to learn that I can push and pull myself along on my belly, I have not quite got a lot of speed yet, but I will soon. All I kept hearing was " how did you get over there?" I thought "I could tell you but then I would have to kill you" lol!! They will see soon enough.

Wheel Update: The inner ring is complete.

Have to go now, mummy's coming and I don't want her to edit any of my blog, because then it would all be about the weather or her running antics or something boring like that.

See you guys soon

Such fun and frolics

Date: 26th Oct - 1st November
Venue: Windermere/Winter Haven

So today was the day where I got to go to my very first theme park, LEGOLAND Florida Resort. So we started the day arriving for our very own VIP experience, as of course I am a Very Important Person, a package arranged by a very good friend. We were met by a lovely American lady who greeted us and got us into the park. There was these coloured bricks everywhere, I couldn't believe what I was seeing, it looked like big toys everywhere. I first found myself getting ready and going on a round cage thing that took us up and up into the sky. We could see miles. I was looking for all the alligators in the lakes but couldn't see any. What I could see though was all the rides and fun things that we could go on.

As we were coming off we were met by Uncle Pip. Yep its that man again. I'm starting to like him, I think. Well especially today anyway. It was awesome! We met lots of different Lego statues. Daddy getting extremely excited about some black caped dude with a funny shaped helmet. as you can tell from the photo, I wasn't really fussed.

We also met someone more daddy's size, R2D2 and came across Batman and Robin.

We then made our way to the Water Park. We got taken into a private big tent and I couldn't believe the gifts we were given. Mummy was quite excited by it all. I was just excited that we eventually got to go into the pool. However disaster struck when I decided that I no longer wanted to be on my front and I rolled onto my back. I did so and felt myself falling, it took a few seconds but I then realised that my daddy was not quite quick enough to save me and I landed on the hard floor bashing my head. OWWW it hurt. Wasn't happy with daddy for a bit. I didn't show my physical displeasure towards him, but I will be keeping that memory to bring back as emotional blackmail.
I then got my new toy polar bear, which I named Pip.

After a go on the water slide with mummy, we decided it was time to venture into the park. It wasn't long until we got to do the American version of trick or treat, otherwise known as Brick or Treat at LEGOLAND. The park started to change. Smoke was coming out of various places in the park, people started to change and look funny. Faces were turning white, eyes were turning freaky looking and I kept seeing ghosts and pumpkins everywhere.

Spoooky!

We eventually met for our VIP Brick or Treat package. We got taken to a white house, where we got food and played games. This lady started painting this orange pumpkin on my leg, what was she doing? why would I want that?!?!?  Mummy and Daddy were excited about me getting it, so we got a photo. They also got their faces painted too. I think they are getting into this too much!

We then got taken on a trick or treat experience and what an experience it was. We had our pumpkin treat bag and went round these people in these small houses who were giving out sweets. I had never seen so many sweets in my life. It was not as is if I could even eat them either. All I kept thinking was, Mummy and Daddy are going to get fat and lose their teeth, if they eat all of that. They also gave out 3 small bags fall of green, black and red bricks. These were interesting, maybe even tasty, but I wasn't allowed near them. These were for older kids and my Mummy and Daddy. They are big kids at heart!

We eventually went back and built those bricks. They turned into a dragon, this was so cool. I can't wait until I can get my own bricks. Maybe have to start off big and then get smaller. The day ended, when we got a night time tour around Miniland where it was all lit up and we went searching for Halloween ghouls and ghosts.

We had an awesome time, I'm sure I will be back there pretty soon.

All my fun didn't end there. The next day we were kindly picked up by my new friend Jack and his mum and went to a baby music class. We got there and they had already started. I couldn't believe my eyes. Everyone was dressed up, including the Miss Becky. She was in a yellow spotted dress with her hair sticking out the side of her head. She came round to every child and started singing some sort of froggy song. She sang at me with Mr Frog, I just thought she was crazy, mummy sang back. The rest of the class was just madness. Every little child was dressed up for Halloween. I wasn't, which I was pretty pleased about. We sang lots of songs and bashed a few sticks and shook a few maracas then the class was finished. It ended by all the little children walking round with buckets getting sweets of parents, not sure what was going on there, but I think they were collecting sweets and we already had enough of those from LEGOLAND.

We had a few chill days this week. Although we did catch up with that funny, little man, Shad again. He took us round a few houses for us to view. I really, really liked the first house. Plenty of room for my toys and who cares if my room might be purple!! I think Mummy and Daddy liked this house too. Hopefully we get to live there.

At the end of the week we went to look for a car and after several hours again of looking at cars and test driving and sitting around we finally got one. It is so cool, you even get your own number plate out here. A little thing we were told was that you have to pay for your number plate or tag as the Americans call it yearly, this is usually done on your birthday. So as we were leaving Mummy and Daddy started looking at different Tag's looking for when the persons birthday is.

Looks more of a wanted photo!!

My overall achievement for this week was that I learnt to roll from my back to my front, so now I can roll both ways and I am much more steady sitting. This means that I can start to look at how I can start to move. Not sure if Mummy and Daddy are looking forward to this!!

Lots of love to all my friends and family.

Bye for now Hxxxxx

New Friends

Date: 19th - 25th October 2014
Venue: Windermere

Hello to all my friends. If you've made it this far, I thank you. Life here is pretty good. What's not to like, you have the sun, great food, lots to do and you get to meet some really nice people.

I've loved my time this week. So much so I decided to put in a long sleep stint, just to show my appreciation. This has sadly reverted back to waking up again, I don't want the parents think that I am an easy touch.

On Sunday we went out and met a new pal, Luke Reilly, an old Thorpe friend. We went to Downtown Disney, where we saw buzz light year. I couldn't believer I got to sit on his arm and have my picture taken with him. I know my cousin Tyler will be jealous, but I will go back and introduce them one day.

Boys and Buzz

We walked around and a saw many people wondering around with those silly ears on their heads. Do they really think they look cool?!?! I really hope I am not subjected to these things over the next few months. Luke managed to get the adults a free meal at Planet Hollywood that day. I was gutted, nothing was ordered for me. So whilst they enjoyed their free meal and what turns out free drinks in the end, I went to sleep. Woke up and we were still here! the place was crazy, there was a car hanging from the ceiling, for some reason there were peoples clothes in glass cabinets. As if no one has seen clothes before. It was fun to look around in there, so much to see. After getting our free glasses, we left and took Luke back. It was nice to meet him even though it was brief.

Cool dudes on a Harley Davidson.

The next day was a chill day. however after taking a stroll to the mailbox. It was a great day or so I am told. Our friend Jemma sent us Cadburys Chocolate!! I am assured this is amazing! Anything that makes my mummy happy makes me happy!

We did some exploring this week and ventured across the main road to find some shops. It was really hot but we managed it. Got our groceries amongst some of my biggest fans. So many women peered in at me and start to chat to me, as if I am going to reply. Can't they see I am a baby! I just sit there and smile it makes them all googly eyed.

I was allowed out in the evening this week. Mummy and Daddy joined Daddys work team for a crazy golf game at pirates cove. It was so much fun. the best bit was that my number 1 fan (mummy) won! This was helped by her getting 4 hole in 1's. I am sure this was a fluke. I am not sure whether she will be invited back again.

Me with some of Daddy's work team

Friday I went on a play date. Mummy and I were picked up by some new friends, Leigh, Parker and Jack. Leigh took us back to their place. It was really nice, my favourite bit was they had this amazing playroom. My eyes lit up when I saw all the toys they had. I didn't know what to play with first. The boys are lovely and Parker came and played with me whilst mummy and Leigh had a chat. We then went outside and played in the sand. I also met their lovely dog, Sugar. She was very friendly, I think I like dogs!! She said she would take us to try out a baby music class next week. Hopefully I'll meet some nice friends.

Saturday was not a good day, but hopefully it will be made better by what is happening on Sunday. I've been told we are going to LEGOLAND. Not really sure what this is, but mummy and daddy seem pretty excited. Hopefully more to say next week, signing out for now so I can get some food....
